Another random act of photography - 3

Today I have one from my garden earlier in the year and a few from Pebble Beach in California. Click on the photos for a larger picture.

Sometimes I get a little bugged.

We had a problem with aphids and tried some lady bugs in the garden. They took over this sunflower for the day.

This boulder had many little crevices from all the water and thought it was a fun picture.

This is on Pebble beach during our trip up the coastline. It was beautiful here.

My attempt using my macro setting. It is now my background picture on my computer.

I have moved around my jewelry studio and hope to show some new pieces soon. All I need is some motivation, motivation & more time in the day.

  1. Great macro images of the rock and pebbles. Never seen so many ladybugs in one place like that.

  2. Love the little ladybugs on the flower. Where did you get them from...it sounds like you purchased them?? I see them so infrequently in my garden..but I love them and wish I had more.

  7. These are fantastic shots! My favorite so far. Looks like your lady bug garden helpers are doing a great job so far - I don't see even one aphid. :-)

  8. Thank you all for the wonderful comments. I purchased the lady bugs at a local nursery and think I remember them in Home depot as well.

They really do help with aphids but you need to do it during the night, otherwise they fly away.

  10. We grew these a few years ago from larva - they looked nothing like what you would think a ladybug larva would look like!

Love that macro shot looks almost like a seed pod!
